The building is a 17th century “fishing house," one that was featured in perhaps the most famous book on fishing ever written, Izaak Walton’s The Compleat Angler. The house is located on the western bank of a loop in the River Dove, in Beresford Dale.
It's considered by some to be the Birthplace of Angling - how cool is that. Unfortunately it's on private land so you can't get too close, but since it was winter I was still able to see it
And this was my first ABC video - I felt like a right wally....
