It was an Arsenal Champions League game (PSV - we won 9-3 on aggregate), so I decided to use the Art Pass and to visit the SOIL exhibition at Somerset House.
The marketing on the exhibition talked about how important Soil is to the world, how fascinating it is with all its complex structures and so on. I'd therefore expected something semi-sciency.
Oh no.
Modern art pretentious rubbish. Think : A whole wall of brown smudges, 'painted' from soil from around the world, and thus plainly representing a "deep spiritual reflection on the fragility of the eco system in a world ruled by capitalisms and greed" (or something ridiculous like that)
The following image was a beautiful thing, but take time to read the words on the second one !
