A year ago I installed the Log Burner in the Barn. Inspired by one I'd seen earlier, I built a plinth (and was very proud of that). However, that meant a) the heat is ejected higher up (not great when you are sitting low), and b) the chimney was not so long, and thus the fire wasn't drawing as well as it could do.
So, I removed the plinth, lowered the fire and added a section to the chimney. Now we have a roaring low level fire.
Job done.
