ABC: Herefordshire: Drink: Gwatkin Cider

So when you search drink and Herefordshire, it's cider, cider, cider all the way. I ended up visiting the Weston's cider factory in Muche Marcle, and whilst it was OK it was a little corporate, so I hunted out something more 'real'.

In the end, I found Gwatkins, and the thing that swung it for me was that it had been visited many moons ago by Oz Clarke and James May on their "Drink Britain" series - that will do for me.

It's a beautiful place, a proper working farm, and has a wonderful view over the Golden Valley. Indeed, there's a wild campsite that it positioned within the cider orchard. Perfect.

I went for the medium dry in the end - very nice, and enjoyed in on my Herefordshire Camp
