So, D is for Drinking, and N is for Norfolk.
I’ve noticed in the research I’ve been doing that quite a lot of counties don't throw up a particularly specific drink. Obviously, there are a lot of different types of beer, which is all good. There are also a lot of different types of gin—unfortunately—which I think is a little bit of a cop-out to be honest these days.
But anyway, one thing that did catch my eye was a place in Norfolk called the English Distillery. It turns out it was the first distillery in England—as in, not Scotland—to start producing whisky. And actually, it does incredibly well; it recently won some very prestigious World Whisky Awards.

So, we went to the shop. I wasn't strictly there to buy whisky, although I did actually buy some. It was very nice indeed—I've almost finished the bottle, so I really need to go and get another one.
But what I actually went for was the Norfolk Nog. I picked it particularly because I just liked the name and thought it would look good on the website. Basically, it's like a Bailey's type thing—a creamy, whisky-based liqueur.

It is very nice indeed and very drinkable. I shall be drinking it at Christmas. I’ll be thinking about doing my first year of ABCs, and I shall be thinking of my Norfolk Nog.
