Summary (by AI): I enjoyed finding a geocache by the serene Grand Union Canal and felt inspired by the local heritage to hire a canal boat in the future.
Blog: I liked this one. This was the "Quest for the West Midlands" cache, and they'd specifically put it by the Grand Union Canal. It was a quick park-up and a five-minute walk to the water.

The canal itself today was absolutely quiet. There was no one on it at all—no people, no boats, no fishermen. It just looked serene and beautiful.
It was a fairly easy find: a camo bag wedged in some trees just off the footpath. In fact, I'd have thought it was easily spotable even by people who weren't geocaching, but hey ho.

It's a nice little nod to the heritage of the West Midlands. The Grand Union Canal runs from London to Birmingham and is the longest canal in the country—obviously the M1 of its time. It was lovely to see a little bit of English heritage, and I think it’s actually inspiring me to hire a canal boat.
